Air Canada Celebrates Future Tourism Leaders

Last week, Vancouver, BC, was a vibrant hub of activity as the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) Congress unfolded with Air Canada as its proud sponsor. The 3-day event celebrated the past, present, and future of Canadian tourism, with a special focus on emerging talents ready to make their mark on the industry.

Empowering Tomorrow’s Tourism Leaders

One of the highlights of the congress was the **Future Leaders Luncheon**. This inspiring panel discussion, presented by David Rheault, Vice President Government and Community Relations at Air Canada, delved into the theme **Shaping Tomorrow’s Tourism: Empowering Future Leaders**.

The luncheon was not only a platform to recognize upcoming talents but also a stage to celebrate the **Air Canada Future Leaders Award** recipients: Tiffany Sanford, Ramachandran Gomathi, Harshveer Dhaliwal, and Gabrielle Heschuk. These exceptional individuals were acknowledged for their outstanding motivation and commitment to pursuing careers in Canada’s dynamic tourism industry.

“It’s always an honour to be able to recognize the future leaders of tomorrow,” remarked David Rheault. “Congratulations on winning the prize. We need strong leaders today and tomorrow. Other people count on you to keep promoting Canada here and around the world. It’s natural for Air Canada to support this event and the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC), given our valued and strong relationships with tourism partners across the country and the important role we play as Canada’s flag and global carrier.”

Supporting Community and Building Future Generations

Air Canada’s involvement in the TIAC Congress is a testament to its longstanding goal of fostering a bilingual, inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous Canada. Air Canada strategically invests in impactful events and initiatives to generate socio-economic benefits for Canadians.

This commitment is evident throughout the year as Air Canada supports various events and organizations that share a common objective: to elevate and celebrate the new generation of tourism leaders. In the fall, Air Canada stood as the Official Airline of the One Young World Summit in Montreal, highlighting its dedication to promoting young leaders on the global stage.

Photographic Memories and Acknowledgments

The event offered the opportunity for photographic documentation as well. Captured in one notable picture was David Reault alongside the four Future Leaders Award recipients, a snapshot of the promising future of tourism in Canada.

Air Canada’s continued support for such initiatives underscores its strategic alignment with the growth and nurturing of Canada’s tourism industry.
