On Friday, December 22, a historic milestone will be achieved as the inaugural commercial flight (TS150) departs from Montreal to the Peruvian capital of Lima. These exclusive non-stop flights, the sole connection between Canada and Peru, are set to operate year-round. The schedule includes two weekly departures from Toronto and one weekly departure from Montreal.

Michèle Barre, Chief Revenue Officer of Air Transat, expressed enthusiasm about realizing this significant route and witnessing their inaugural flight grace the skies over Peru. Lima, as a strategic South American gateway in their destination portfolio, is poised to leverage the sustained growth of tourism on the continent. Barre stated, “We are also very proud to offer our passengers the opportunity to broaden their horizons and discover the treasures of Peru.”

The flights come with an array of offerings, including all-inclusive packages and meticulously selected a la carte hotels across Peru. Additional excursions are slated to be introduced in the near future, enhancing the overall travel experience.

Operating these flights are the next-generation Airbus A321LR aircraft, characterized by spacious cabins, cutting-edge in-seat entertainment systems, and the lowest fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions (CO2 and NOx) in their class. This commitment to environmental sustainability aligns with the airline’s dedication to providing a modern and eco-conscious travel experience for its passengers.
